One last Look at the October Scrapbooking Kit!

Thursday, October 31, 2013

One of the things I like best about the October Scrapbooking Kit is it's ability to be so versatile!! It can be used to make stunning girly pages as well as standout guy pages!! We are releasing the November Kit tomorrow but we still have a few of our October Kit available! Look at what Joni did with her kit....

Wow...October sure flew by didn't it?   Joni here, and I wanted to share another layout I completed with the October Scrapbooking Kit named Sea Breeze.

This is my son and his cousin that hadn't seen each other for a while....
I painted the Thickers to match my themed colors and I love the die-cuts for accents on this...

I like how the journal spot turned out after I layered a couple of the Polaroid frames.

So...if you haven't subscribed to our monthly kits yet...what are you waiting for??

Halloween Inspiration with Katie!

Happy Halloween everyone! I'm Katie and I wanted to share the pumpkin I made this year....

I painted a real pumpkin with a sugar skull design using Gesso, black diamond stickles, Martha Stewart glitter and glittering glue.

For the design, I traced the cover of the new Paper Source catalog and went over the back with a lead pencil. Then I taped my design to the pumpkin and traced over it again with a ball point pen.

It came out pretty well :)

Tomorrow is the day!!! Be sure to come back to see the reveal of Frosted Designs November Scrapbooking Kit! Here is one last sneak peek before the big reveal tomorrow.....

Halloween Inspiration with Traci!

Wednesday, October 30, 2013

Hi Frosted friends!
Today it's my turn to share a little scrappy goodness with you and since tomorrow is Halloween I decided a spooky layout would be fun.  I have a Halloween album that I set out as part of my fall decorations each year.  The album starts when my boys were babies, and goes through each page showing off their costume for every year.  Now that they are 22 and 19, and don't dress up anymore, I still do a page each year dedicated to our family festivities (pumpkin carving, handing out candy, etc.)
I had lots of fun with this layout because I LOVE the colors and texture of Carta Bella's Happy Haunting collection.   I also had fun cutting out some Halloween shapes with my Silhouette.  I have a few more pictures over on my blog so I'd love for you to drop by and say hello sometime, but first be sure to visit the Frosted Designs store to check out this wonderful paper collection!

Who likes Pink Paislee?! What about Crate Paper?! Queen & Co?!! Glitz?!!! Well... if you like any of these companies, then you are going to want the November Scrapbooking Kit from Frosted Designs!!! Two more days!!! In the mean time, how about another sneak peek?!

Tag! I'm It Too!

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

Hi, Cathi here again!! Our current challenge at Frosted Designs is to use a tag on your project, so I figured that for my project this week I would join in and make a card with a tag on it, using the gorgeous Fabscraps Shabbylicious papers, and several other items from the store!

I cut a tag out from the gorgeous Shabbylicious paper featuring the bird and flowers, using the pink gingham paper as the base of the card. I added cheesecloth and vintage seam binding from my stash and then used my Heidi Swapp confetti mask to make the masked hearts. I finished my card off with an UmWow flair and chevron confetti.

And because I always try to make extra projects when at all possible, while I had out all by Fabscraps papers I also put together this card with a die cut doily I had nearby and a great sentiment stamp that fit the chairs perfectly (sit - talk - enjoy) I layered the chair images up on the darker background sheet and then added that to the card. A pretty and simple card to send out!

I hope you will join us for our current challenge, enter a card, a layout, any project you can add a tag to!!

Did we mention that the November Scrapbooking Kit will be released in three more days?!! You are going to LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEE this kit!! Since we can't show it to you just yet, how about a sneak peek?!!

Happy Haunting with Brenshevia!

Monday, October 28, 2013

Hey, hey, hey everyone Brenshevia here with another wonderful project from Frosted Designs featuring product from our wonderful store!  As we all know Halloween is just a few days away. Normally I do not do a lot of seasonal projects BUT this year I couldn't resist a chance to use the wonderful Happy Haunting Collection from Carta Bella.

This collection has the "traditional" Halloween colors which I find easier to work with.  Because Halloween 2013 has not yet arrived, I was forced to use photos of my grand kids from last year, better late than never right?!  So without further ado allow me to introduce my first project from this collection featuring all 3 grand babies.

In addition to the wonderful products from the Frosted Designs store I also used my Cameo to created the most wonderful embellishments which were cut using papers from the Happy Haunting line.

Isn't this web doily the best?!

I am loving this collection, believe me you will see more projects from me using this line.  In the meantime, why not pop on over to the Frosted Designs store to purchase your collection, after all All Hallow's Eve is only 3 days away!

Sundays with Sandee - A lesson in Art Journaling

Sunday, October 27, 2013

I am beyond excited to share a new feature with you! Our lovely Sandee has agreed to share her talents with us in a series of tutorials called "Sunday's with Sandee!" Some of you have purchased our Mixed Media Kit subscription, and with that you received a free Ranger Dylusions Art Journal. This is the journal Sandee will be using as she shows us tips and techniques for completing pages in our Art Journals! How cool is that?! If you would like to purchase a kit, or a subscription, there are still a few kits available! The Art Journals are also available for purchase in the Frosted Designs Store!

Hi everyone, it's Sandee popping in to see if everyone has got their Dylusion art journals from the Frosted Designs store and is ready to start playing along with me! If not, grab yours quickly while they are at the introductory price!

This is a very short video explaining a little about art journaling and how I created the scissor, pencil and paint brushes using some of my scrap papers left over from the 2013 October Mixed Media Kit that I used as my opening page for my journal.

This is the finished page. I wanted a quote to express how I view life and this one by Danny Kaye just fits how I feel.

I'd LOVE to see what you came up with and share it with us on our Frosted Designs Face Book page,
( you don't have to use our awesome products but we would love it if you did! )
and you can pop over to my page for close up shots if you need to see any details.

Witchy Washy Halloween Decor

Saturday, October 26, 2013

Hello, everyone!  Brenda here with a project to share on the Frosted Designs blog.  Since we're so close to Halloween, I thought I'd share a simple "witchy washy" home décor project that I made using my Cricut, and the Bella Blvd "Daily Chevies" line and Um Wow star confetti from the Frosted Designs store.  I really love the bright colors in the Daily Chevies line, but also love the fact that there is some black and white and other neutrals in the collection, too.  (Isn't that black star paper just perfect for Halloween?)

The pieces were all cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge (5" for the hat, 6.5" for the dress, and 5" for the stockings and shoes).  I added some gold stickles to the star confetti pieces on the hat and dress and some black stickles to the shoes, 'cause even witches need a little bling in their wardrobe, right?  (And if you don't have a Cricut or other diecut machine, these shapes are simple enough that you could cut them by hand.)

I hope you enjoyed this little project, and hope you get more treats than tricks this Halloween!

Friday Challenge - Tag! You're It!

Friday, October 25, 2013

Hello!!!  Lori Apgar here with a Brand New Challenge for you!!  My Challenge is Tag, You're It!  I want you to use at least one tag on your project - or create a decorative tag!

I am typically a layout girl, so I added a tag to my layout.  Not just any tag though, I used the Color Washed Cold Press Watercolor Tags.

I recently found these photos taken over 7 years ago!  My friend Elaine would take my son Tanner and strip him down and put him in her deep kitchen sink.  Tanner loved when mommy went to Elaine's house to craft!!!

I used some paper from Pinkpaislee's Hey Kid paper pad for my canvas and my photo and title mats.

I used my Dylusions Cherry Pie ink spray to color the tag.  I punched tiny holes in the tag and tied on some yellow twine from the October Scrapbook Kit.  I included some Pinkpaislee word stickers to my tag and made a border with them across my page.

I used my cameo for my title and offset shadow.  I inked everything with black ink.

I also ran some yellow twine at the top of the black cardstock border.

I added a ticket and pop-dotted a die-cut "Hey Boy" where my photos overlap.  Boy, Tanner really is interested in that water!!!
