More Season of Stars & a HUGE Sale!

Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Hi Everyone!  Lydia here and I have to tell you….I have really loved and used the Season of the Stars scrapbooking kit.  Funny enough, I haven't used it for one Christmas or seasonal layout even though its perfect for those photos too.  I will also admit that sometimes I am a last minute get it done kind of gal.  BUT the ease of how the Frosted Designs products go together makes it so quick to put a project together.  This time around I used this kit for a photo of my son's 14th birthday.

Aron has just turned 14.  His favorite number by the way, so I wanted to show this photo off and this kit was just perfect for it.  I cut the #14 from one of the Teresa Collins papers included in the kit.  They would be perfect for dates, birthdays, Christmas countdown, December Dailys and so many other uses.

I have a total addiction to wood veneer.  :)  I will loudly and willingly admit that.  I love the star bursts that come with this kit.  They are some of my favorites.

These tags both had Christmas/winter type sayings on the bottom of them.  I knew I could still use them by just tucking those parts under my photos!  Brilliant!  Like I said, I love how versatile this kit is.

Now is THE time to pop on over to the Frosted Designs Online Store.  The kits are on sale along with other great products.  There are also lots of new CHA products coming too.  So make sure you stop on over and fill up your cart!  I just placed my order last night and cannot wait to play with my new goodies.

Season of Stars with Joni!

Thursday, December 26, 2013

I'm back to share a few more layouts that I completed with the December Season of Stars Scrapbooking kit.  I shared my first 4 layouts earlier this month...and I said I'd share my last 4 layouts and 2 cards ... but I lied... the other night, I was picking through what was left and I had just enough paper .... and with the extra embellies, I actually got two more layouts done.  So that was 10 layouts and 2 cards.
Plus I used some of my extra embellies and alphas on the Silver & Gold Challenge layout...  This kit just keeps on giving and giving!!!

So, here are the other projects:

I love this sheet of paper!!!  So perfect to use "whole"....  I folded back the top left corner since I really like the back side too!!

I love that it already had the large word "Joy" on the paper but I wanted to dress that up a bit, so I added the words Holiday and Joy from the transparency die cut from the add-on.
I also wanted to mention that I used the journal card from the kit (see below, it almost looks blue)...I placed it so that it highlighted words from the background paper.  I also put one of the wooden banners UNDER it and clipped one of the gold star clips on it.

On this layout, I went clean and linear.  I nice little block with some papers and strategically placed embellishments.

I used mist on this flower from the add-on, but I didn't "spritz" the mist, I removed the cap, and used the wand to literally "paint on" the ink.  I layered this with some of the trim, chipboard and rhinestones.

I split 2 sheets up for this one and placed my photos along the center, separated by my journal box (from the add-on).

The clear transparency that frames my photo is in the main kit and is not really a frame - I just cut out the center so it didn't cover my photo and turned it into a frame.

I really wanted to use the musical notes paper and that's pretty easy for me considering  I have a drummer, keyboard player, ukulele player, iPod/shower singer .... all in one son!!

I painted the gold glittery thickers with red paint to match my layout.

I also made two easy-peasy cards.
The left on is literally the transparency tree die cut from the add-on...glued onto the card!!
The right card is chipboard words from the add-on, painted and a little added glitter, grounded by a little strip of the washi tape (from the main kit).

Ok..so here is one of the "extra" (Ninth) layout that I did with my kit.  I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap and used up some of my extra journal spots with my last tag and a couple pieces of chipboard.   (The green background cardstock is from my stash).

I used the Thickers from the kit, but added some silver glitter over the top but you can still see the Gold too.  I liked that contrast.

And this is my 10th layout with this kit (I used a sketch by Tammi Bennett)
All I had left of the paper was the red w/white snowflake piece, and I used a kraft tag from the kit and the snowflakes are from the add-on.  (Alphas & Cardstock from my stash)

So...thanks for reading this far .. I hope you're still here!!
I had such a great time playing with this kit... I know you will too!!

Christmas Joy with Barb

Wednesday, December 11, 2013

Happy Wednesday everyone! I have been playing with our Season of Stars Scrapbooking Kit and thought I would share a layout (or 2) that I created!

I love the "Joy" paper by My Mind's Eye that is in this kit. The pattern on it is just enough to add some fun to a layout without being too distracting! And… the title is already done for me! That was just one of the things that helped me create this layout pretty quickly!

I pulled out my kit and started grabbing the "pieces" that were left from other layouts. I didn't even bother cutting them! I just distressed the edges a bit and glued them down!

I love the Little Yellow Bicycle Transparency Die-Cuts that are in the Merry Christmas Add-on kit! I added a few of the snowflakes around the photos and then added some of the BoBunny Bling to the centers.

The next layout was in the Silver and Gold Challenge reveal on Friday but I thought I would show it again with a few close ups this time!

Clearly, playing along with the Silver and Gold Challenge is very easy with the Season of Stars kit! There are plenty of both of those colors in there!

I had fun getting a little messy with this one! At one point my desk was covered with molding paste, paint, spray mists, gelatos, and inks! Talk about fun!! The papers in the Season of Stars scrapbooking kit layer together so well... made my job easy! And I LOVE the mesh/web ribbon in this kit. One side is white and the other is gold! And of course it has plenty of sparkle! I painted the Studio Calico Starbursts with white paint before going over them with the Silver Metallic Gelatos. I added a gem to the center for a little more bling!

I love the Teresa Collins Chipboard Stickers that are part of the Merry Christmas Add on kit. They were perfect for this layout. And how do you like those sparkly gold numbers?! Gotta love some bling!

The Season of Stars Scrapbooking Kit is now available in the Frosted Designs Store.
You can find it HERE! The Add-On for $10 is a steal!

I used a Sketchabilities sketch( #104) for this one!

Have a great week!
Barb :)

Julie is back with a Sweet Project!!

Thursday, December 5, 2013

Hi everyone! I am so honored to be Guest Designing for Frosted Designs this month :)

Here is a little about me --

My name is Julie Tucker-Wolek and I have been scrapping since my son was born 16
years ago, but really got into it as a major passion about 7 years ago when my
daughter was born.  I create everything!  Cards, layouts and altered projects!

I absolutely LOVE the December kit Frosted Designs has put together! Over the next two days, I will be sharing what I made with this kit! And you are not gonna believe what I made -- FOUR layouts, ONE altered project, FOUR pillow boxes and EIGHTEEN gift tags for Christmas, and I STILL have enough paper left over to make some cards!!!! :)  Amazing, right????? Seriously this kit is AWESOME!!! :)

Today I am sharing the ONE altered project, FOUR pillow boxes and EIGHTEEN gift tags for Christmas! :)

I am starting today with my altered project --  I work for a huge corporation, and about once a month the reserve a conference room and fill it with treats for the employees to come and enjoy -- this last month,  one of the treats they offered was this HUGE bucket full of Sour Punch Twists :)  And once the container was empty, I asked the coordinator of the event to save the container for me, because I knew I could alter it! LOL! :)

Here is the container I started with :)

And here is what I turned it into!

And here are the other sides!

I will be filling this up with candy for people that come over to our house over the Holidays! :)

And here are the FOUR pillow boxes I created :)

And here are the EIGHTEEN gift tags I created for Christmas!!

I made this one using the packaging that came with the Bo Bunny jewels that comes with the December kit!!

This kit is JUST AMAZING!!! If you aren't a subscriber yet, I totally suggest you become one!!! Frosted Design kits are just WOW!!!

Thanks again to Frosted Designs for having me as their Guest Designer this month!!!
