Altered Tin with Spring Gardens Kit with Brandi!!!!

Hello everyone!!!  Brandi here today with an altered tin I made using this month's fabulous "Spring Gardens Kit"!

Here's a look:


My husband gave me a hot tea tin he had and I knew it would be a perfect project (so did he!!!). I wrapped the tin with the beautiful papers, then started to embellish!
I used the trim from the kit, one of the wooden frames, a quote from last month's kit, and one of the resin butterflies for the front!

Here's a close-up of the butterfly.  I used ink from a previous kit to add a small amount of color!


I used one of the wooden Kaisercraft balloons and several of the flowers for the top!  I also used ink from past kits to add some color to the all white flowers :-)



 As you can see, I wrapped the trim around the entire tin!

Altered Frame with this Month's "Out of the Blue" Kit!!!!

Hello again crafters!!!  It's Brandi popping in with an altered frame using this month's beautiful kit!

Here's a look at the frame:

As most of you know, my mother passed away last month which has been the cause for my absence over the past few weeks.  I've decided to make some tribute frames for members of our family so I'm sure you'll be seeing her quite a bit in the upcoming months ;-)

I started by covering the frame with one of the beautiful papers from the kits after I painted the simple wooden frame white (Picked up the frame for $1.00 at my local craft store).  I added in my photo, covering it using the silver doily overlay from the add on kit!


I added flowers and embellies from the kit in adjacent corners to add some pizzazz!


I used some of the Ranger blue mist from a previous kit to dye my trim from this kit blue, then added it across the bottom for contrast against the white background!


I finished with a number of the wooden embellishments that were inked using distress ink, then I added a bit of the crackle accents from the kit for added shine!

Tutorial Tuesday: Masculine Card with Brandi!!!

Hey there crafters!  Brandi here today!  I've been absent for a bit, I know.  My mother recently passed, unexpectedly, which has caused my entire life to turn upside down at the moment.  I am doing everything I can take it a day at a time, and sometimes, even a moment at a time.  But there's no doubt, this has been by far, the hardest thing I have ever gone through.  


I'm up on the Frosted Designs blog today with a masculine card tutorial.  I used this month's beautiful kit and some stamps from Creative Embellishments to make this wonderful card perfect for any occasion!

Here I used some background stamps from CE for my background, then used some molding paste over the Crocodile Stencil included in this month's kit from Frosted Designs :-)



I used some Lindy's Tornado black mist to color my chipboard and added some of the crackle accents included in this months kit :-)

Make Your Pages "Pop"! ~ Tutorial with Brandi :-)

Hello everyone!!  It's Brandi here today to share a quick tutorial with you on how to really make your pages stand out!  It works really well on this month's kit with the soft pinks and light hues of the papers and embellies :-)

Yum, yum, yum!!!!  In love with this one!!!

See how everything just "pops" against the background?!?  Doesn't it look fabulous?!?  Want to know my trick?!?  A sharpie marker!  Yep, it's really that simple!  No mess, no fuss :-)

I LOVE the zipper pulls in this month's kit!  They truly add a touch of elegance to every page!


I even use the sharpie to outline my stickers and die-cuts!  


Using a butterfly punch and papers from the kit, I created 3D butterflies :-)

I used stickers from this month's kit and goodies from past month's kit to create my large flowers cluster under the photo!

Sweet Love from our Fabulous Kit Team!!!

February's "Sweet Love" Kit has Arrived!!!

Hello crafters!!!  Can you believe that we are in the month of February already?!?!  With a new month, comes a new kit and this one is truly lovely!!!!

Here's a look at this month's "Sweet Love" kit:


Isn't it beautiful?!?!?  Oh, I have soooo many ideas with this one!!!  It features Kaisercraft's "XO" collection and embellishments by Prima, May Arts, Lindy's Stamp Gang, and flowers from Prima as well!  They are sooo many possibilities :-)

Here's a look at what our fabulous Kit Team has put together...  Talk about "eye candy"!!!!!!

Brandi:

I decided to do a mixed media canvas board, showcasing a picture of my oldest daughter from several years ago (my, how time flies!).  I used a variety of papers from the kit as well as on of the quote cut-outs, several stickers, LSG mist to color my chipboard pieces, flowers, and trinkets :-)

I created this page using the Gorgeous "Sweet Love" Kit. I added paper layers and Cut the center of the heart and weaved paper to create the checkered pattern. I glued the glitter on the Heart Shaped Chipboard and added the flower cluster. I used a sticker from the sticker sheet for my Title and added the zipper pull to the center of the heart and some faux stitches with a white pen. I also added a couple doilies from my stash and some white flowers.

For my page I used layers of the gorgeous Kaisercraft XO Collection. I really liked the wreath diecut and the color scheme. I used the beautiful array of florals and the lace and pearl ribbon.There is a beautifiul cardstock stickers and Prima trinkets such as the pale pink art sugar. I went with a shabby chic style for this layout. Keep calm and just have fun creating.

Hello there fellow scrappers!!! My name is Brandi Matos and I am just another obsessed crafter with a bad habit for paper crafting! "Dream Card" with Brandi!

Hello again friends!!!!  I'm here today with a card I made using this month's beautiful Forever Yours Kit from Frosted Designs!!!

Here's a look at the kit:


The colors are truly amazing and the papers and embellies all go together so well!!!  
Here is my card:

   

These papers are "dreamy" indeed!!!!  I used a variety of papers from the kit to create my "base", then started adding on my desired embellishments!


The grossgrain trim in the kit goes beautifully with everything, doesn't it?!?


I finished my card with a stamped sentiment from my stash and a black card base!
