SHOW ME SUNDAY BY: Esther

I have been making these little containers for a long time, you make these as simple or as fancy as you want.


Supplies:

  • Card stock 4x5
  • Super sticky Glue
  • Paper Crimper
  • Treat
  • Embellishments

    Step 1:
    Cut your card stock 4"x5"
    
    Step 2:Apply sticky tape to the 4" reverse side of the paper as well as the middle of the bottom half and halfway on the top. As seen below.
    
    Step 3:Roll paper like a cylinder from 4" to 4". (Like a paper towel roll). Next adhere one side. Step 4:Fill with a treat, it could be candy, buttons for your crafting friends, ribbon, erasers.... etc....etc....
    Step 5:
    Close the other end in the opposite direction as seen below.
    Step 6: Crimp both sides and embellish!!!
    I used mine as ornaments that I can give to my guests. I punched a hole in the middle, added thread then ribbon and an embellishment.

We'd like to share some layouts for our current Sketch Along Tuesday 11-16 Challenge that other members of our DT have created using Diana's wonderful sketch:

Cassie combined this week's distressing challenge with our 11-16 sketch challenge.

Esther
Esther created her layout on last year's snow trip using Crate Paper.

Lori
Lori used one of the Halloween paper pads for most of the paper, and  added a little ribbon, some staples and some paper flowers with gems.

Fabulous Friday Challenge

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday Challenge!! With Thanksgiving right around the corner we thought it would be appropriate to sit back, reflect and create about something or someone we are thankful for.
But... there is a catch! This week is a Word Challenge... and the words we are looking for are THANKS or THANKFUL!! You need to include one of these words or a form of it in your card, layout or project this week. How easy is that?!! By showing us the things you are most thankful for, you have a chance to win this fabulous prize package from our sponsor, Purple Pumpkin!

Now... let's look at what our design team did for this challenge...

Debbie made this card for her mother for Thanksgiving, using paper by Teresa Collins and a beautiful flower by Maya Road. 


Gulnara For this card Gulnara has chosen a paper of strict, noble colors, but the thin translucent fabric added tenderness, after all the card should convey the warmest feelings of gratitude!

Esther
Esther used the word Thankful as part of her title. She also included all the names of the people in her family that she is thankful for!

DianaDiana searched deep into her stash to find these pp by Creative Imaginations she's had for over 4 years and the prima flourish and flowers, to showcase this photo of her mother and 8 of her 11 grandkid and 2 great grandkids.

Kim
For this word challenge, Kim wanted to create a picture frame to display at Thanksgiving. She is most thankful for her little niece and nephew. She used a $4 5 X 7 picture frame from the dollar store and some scraps of Wild Saffron papers.
First, she attached the papers around the frame, then added some flowers, buttons, and butterflies. She inked the chipboard letters and finished those off with bling and bits of ribbon.

Cassie created a thank you card using a Stampin' Up stamp.

Jessica
Jessica kept her card simple and added detail by stamping flourishes around the "thank you" sentiment.

Changes are coming!! And welcome to some new designers!!

We are sooooo excited about the changes coming to Frosted Designs!! You are going to see some new wonderful things including more challenges, more designers and more prizes!! We now have designers from all over the world!! Can it get any better?!! We are going to take this week to introduce you to the new members of our design team!!

First we would like to introduce you to Angela...

My name is Angela and I am happily married to Mark! we have 4 children. Christie 20, Aden 18, Lachlan 15, & Patrick 13. I own & run a Learn to swim Centre which keeps me very busy! But I still have time for my paper obsession! I also adore making cards and patchwork quilting.  In fact I love anything that gets me creating. I have recently discovered Copic markers and I am seriously getting a healthy collection.  I am excited to be a part of this gorgeous team and seeing all your beautiful creations.

Hello, my name is Esther. I am Thrilled to be joining such a talented group of ladies. Scrapbooking is my obsession. I have been documenting my precious memories for about 9 years now, and I love every moment of it. I am 29 years old and I have three beautiful children, if I say so myself. Gabriel 6 yrs, Elijah 4 yrs, and Layla 9 months. They are the main subject of my obsession. I try new products and like to experiment but always tend to go back to my old habits. I have an expression that I use on almost every project and I love it.
