On the 12th Day of Christmas....

On the 12th day of Christmas..... my true love gave to me....

Brads, Brads, Brads!!!

Yep, use AT LEAST (can be more) 12 brads on your project.

Here is mine..
I used a mask to design the sunburst in my patterned papers and then added 12 brads along the outer edge of the layout to add a finishing touch and some bling to my layout.

You can spread the 12 brads out over multiple projects if you'd like...
1 layout OR 2 cards OR 3 tags...etc.
As long as the total is greater than 12 brads and the projects "go together".

On the 7th Day of Christmas...

On the 7th day of Christmas
Frosted Designs asked of me - 7 sparkly snowflakes!

Greetings crafters - here we are more than half way through our challenges already!
Hope you've been playing along, there are so many awesome prizes to be won!

Today I'm challenging you to use 7 snowflakes on your project (no more, no less!)
You are welcome to create a card, layout, or off the page project. And you can even make 2 if you like (2 tags = 7 snowflakes, 2 cards = seven snowflakes, etc.)

We had an unusual snow in November this year where I live in southeastern Pennsylvania. My 3 year old grand daughter said "Hi snow!" "It's snowin' - we have to put our snow fingies on and go outside!" She had a blast going down the sliding board pushing the snow ahead of her and landing in a pile at the bottom!

Can't wait to see what you create!

On the 6th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me - 6 Washi Tape Strips :)

My challenge to you is to use 6 strips of washi tape on your project (It doesn't have to be different washi tape just 6 separate strips)
Heres my page :

Can you spot the tape? There are two strips of pink chevron tape next to my tag envelope in the top right corner, a strip of 'birds on a line' washi adhering the journaling tag strings to the background cardstock, a strip above my cute little mouse photo and a strip above and below my main photo (gold diaganol stripes). That makes six! Easy eh??

The papers that I used for this page are Graphic 45's 'Nutcracker Sweet'. It was made for these photos of my girls rehearsing for their Xmas ballet recital 'The Nutcracker' :)
Hope you enjoy my challenge and have a fantastic Christmas

On the 2nd Day of Christmas...

My true love sent to me....

2 Stamps to Stamp With.....

(Well he would if he really wanted to please me...lol...)

Hi all, Monique here with your 2nd Day of Christmas Challenge.

For the 2nd day of Christmas your challenge is to use 2 Stamps on your project.  Of course, you can do whatever project you wish - OTP, Cards, Layouts - it's up to you!

I am busily finishing off my Christmas Cards to send off to family and friends, so I did 2 Christmas Cards with 2 Stamps on them.
Here are my examples:

I have used a Darkroom Door Background Stamp as the background, and a stamp from the Darkroom
Door "Yuletide #1" Set.  This is one of my favourite stamps - just such a sweet Santa!
You will also notice the words "Peace" and "Believe" have been created using Words or Whatever's Block Alphabet - Both Uppercase and Lowercase.  All I did was add some Distress Stain and Adironack Paint Daubers to them to alter them to suit the cards.
You too could get this fantastic alphabet (it really is so versatile, I use it for so much!) if you win  the prize  WOW - Words Or Whatever are offering for this competition.
Well I hope you all have fun with this set, don't forget - you have to be in it to win it!  Hope to see some fantastic samples!
Cheers,
Monique

I am so excited to be the first artist to post my project on the 12 Days of Christmas December blog challenge.  Twelve of our design team members will have a challenge for you throughout the month of December that will give you a chance to use specific items on your projects.

In true "12 Days" style, we will build on the # of items used each day.  The challenges will be posted various days between December 1 and December 19 and you will have until the end of December to play along.  We can't wait to see your projects and hope we are able to inspire you to be creative!

Now for day 1:
Use 1 bird on your project

I have created an awesome 12 x 12 mixed media canvas using 1 bird.  Have a wonderfully creative month and Happy Holidays!

Happy Creating!
