We wanted a challenge this week that everyone could play along with! Every crafter I know, has fabric laying around their crafty space.... pieces of fabric, fabric from clothing, fabric left over from your last project but you just couldn't part with the scraps.... you get the idea! Well, this week, we are challenging you to use Fabric on your cards, layouts and off the page projects! This is easier than you think. Before we show you what our Design Team created to inspire you we would like to wish DT member Brenda a Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to Brenda!
Ashley used fabric, as the mat behind the photo on the right hand side. She "painted" over the Fabric square with Mod Podge, to make it a little more stiff and to keep it from unraveling. The yellow flag and the small flowers are also cut from Fabric, using the same technique. Ashley used Sketch #217 from Creative Scrappers.
Fabric photo board
Erin used silk flowers
Lori
Lori used a piece of canvas scrapbook "paper" to cover her wooden letter "L" and added a denim bow.
Liva
Liva used torn linen cloth square as background for her picture cluster and as a narrow strip for her tag.
Jenifer used flowers made of fabric along with bling!
Note from Designer: "When my grandmother passed away, we found a couple of boxes of quilt blocks in her basement. We put them aside, hoping to think of a use for them. (A lot of them were damaged and couldn't be put into a quilt.). I used three blocks to make this wall grouping out of wooden embroidery hoops. I inserted a quilt block into a hoop, tightened it up, and then tucked the edges inside the back of the hoop. I used bakers twine and small clips to hang some old photos on the smaller hoops, and then diecut a heart and the word "family" and used a tape runner to attach it to the larger hoop."
Don't we have a treat for you with this weeks sponsor...
