It is Back to School time and I am excited to share my PALS layout of my son Tanner and his best friend Jadon on the first day of school.

I am Lori Apgar and I am excited to share my layout with you!!

The first day of school is a big deal!  Members of the High School Band (who went to our elementary school) perform a few songs the first day of school each year.  It is kind of a pep rally for the kids!

Of course, I had to create a layout!!!

Jadon and Tanner both had big smiles - so naturally I had to use my Be Happy Flair!!  I used Cherry Pie Dylusions Ink to color my circle/arrow chipboard as well as a book page punched with my circle punch.  I cut My School out of red cardstock, but inked them with Cherry Pie so the red was closer to maroon (like the chipboard).

This was my first time using Dylusions Ink (I have tried other inks) and I was so impressed by how vibrant the colors are!!  You can spritz for a splotchy look, or spray for fuller coverage.  I had fun playing with it (and ordered some more)!!!

I tucked a tiny arrow sticker inside the chipboard piece.

I tucked a lime green arrow at the bottom corner of the picture of the boys.  I love how it matches the background paper!

I added some chipboard banner flags under the band photo - it is hard to see in the photo but there was a member from the flag core performing too!

I cut out at title that sums up their relationship.

I almost missed this photo opportunity as Jadon was in a different area before school.  Right before the bell rang, he and his mom braved the crowd and joined us!  I try to take a photo of them every year and you can see by the moving crowd behind them, I almost missed them!  So glad I didn't!!
