Show Me Sunday - A Tutorial By Amanda!

Hi everyone!!!

Today I am going to do a short tutorial on using Moulds. I have used air dry clay, but you can use wax or resin. But I do have to tell you they can be very addictive.

The moulds that I have used here are from Moulds By Mel
and another favorite place is Mold Muse

Here are the supplies that you will need
Mould, air dry clay, brayer roller, scissors, rub 'n' buff (paint, glimmermist, ink, copic marker, anything with color can be used)

Start with a nice clean mould, any old dry clay will get stuck in the next one that you do.
Moulds and brayer can be cleaned with warm soapy water

get a small amount of clay and roll into a ball and sit it on top of the mould. Then push the clay into the mould with your thumbs

With your brayer roll the clay flat, this is so at the end the back will be nice and flat and not be all lumpy

Once you have done that then carefully pull the mould out and turn the right way up and cut around the edges...You must now leave it to dry for 24 hours and a warm place, I put mine on a window seal

Once dry sand around the edges with a file, and paint or rub 'n' buff, really anything that you can color with, just have a play..There are so many moulds out there and what you do with them is up to you, I add them to layouts, off the page, fridge magets, gifts and the list goes on

I love to paint the roses and then put heaps of glossy accents all over them,
they turn out so pretty

Here are a couple that I have...
