Fabulous Friday Challenge - Banners!

Friday, April 6, 2012

Here at Frosted Designs, we like to not only encourage you to use the supplies you own, but to also get you to try some of the latest trends. As you know, banners have been coming on strong. But, banners are no longer the cute little triangles hanging from our string! Therefore, this week we are challenging you to make a card, layout, altered art or mixed media item with a banner on it! Look at how creative our design team was with theirs....

This is a box that had linen Christmas napkins.  I bought it on clearance after Christmas, partially for the napkins and partially for the box!!  It's a shallow (about 1/2 inch) shadow box.  Plus I got some cool napkins for next Christmas!

Banners Layout:
- Hambly Screenprint banners
- Patterned paper banners
- Manila tag banners
- Washi tape banners
- Stamped banners

I used the cover sheet from the 6X6 pack of paper - the one that has all the little samples
on it - I cut each sample into a banner!! A perfect use for something I normally through a way!!

Lynne used an old sewing pattern which she cut up and glimmer misted to make her banner flags.

Welcome to Kawaii Goodies, our sponsor this week!

Kawaii Goodies (http://www.etsy.com/shop/kawaiigoodies?ref=pr_shop_more ) sells a variety of eco-chic packaging supplies & embellishments, perfect for your gift wrapping needs, party favours, and even for your DIY wedding! But you have to play to win!

I love that you bought the napkins for the box, it's a bonus that you can use what's in the box. we need to shop together.
