Fabulous Friday Challenge!

Friday, March 4, 2011

Welcome back to another Fabulous Friday Challenge! We are extra excited about this week's challenge because we get to show off some of our new design team members! But first let's talk about the challenge...

This week is a recipe challenge... we would like for you to use:
     3 patterned papers
     2 fonts
     1 journaling tag

That's it! How easy is this one?! And remember, it can be a card, layout or any other project you would like to make...it just has to have those three things!

We thought it would be nice if we gave you a chance to learn a little more about each of these ladies so we are going to introduce them to you and then show you their project they completed for their very first Frosted Designs assignment! You are going to love them!

I started scrapbooking in 2006 for my oldest son’s baby book, I did a few pages and did the odd weekend event. Then in 2009 I stopped teaching high school science and became a stay at home mom pregnant with my third child and used scrapbooking as my escape and time of peace. I was hooked and never looked back. I would say my style is distressed, romantic, and shabby chic, but I also love to dabble in other areas for a change of pace. Most of my pages are of my kids, but I am starting to try and make some of other subjects too. I love to find new uses for products, create tutorials, make embellishments by hand, and share my knowledge with others. I love the social interaction of the on-line and in person scrapbooking network. I am always looking for the latest products and techniques, and thinking of what my next project is going to be.

I am thirty something staying at home mother of two beautiful children. I was born in Estonia, but live in Ireland quite a long time and really like it. Four years ago I decided to become a student again. So, this year I finish university and finally get my degree sorted. I have a lot of interests - cooking, travelling, photography, gardening to name but a few. But my real love is the art in all its wonderful aspects. I think that card - is not just necessary addition to the present. It is an opportunity to say something beyond standard words. I adore trying different things. I got used to study and I use any opportunity to learn and develop my skills all the time. My motto is Celebrate Life!

My name is Melissa and I live in San Antonio, TX. I have been paper scrapping for about 14 years now. I have four beautiful daughters ages 18, 11, 11, and 2. They are by far my favorite topic to scrap. I am self employed (my husband and I own a small real estate investments company), therefore lucky enough to have a flexible schedule that allows for plenty of scrap time! I enjoy all different styles of scrapping from graphic to shabby chic. I have to say I'm a little bit obsessed with the hobby...there's an entire room in my house devoted solely to this purpose. It's my "happy place". I also enjoy photography and mixed media projects.

My name is Elisabetta Colavero (Eli) and I'm italian.

Born on the 3rd of March, 1973 (wow, this is a great birthday present!), I have a daughter Noemi, 7 years old who is the favorite subject of my projects. I started scrapbooking about 4 years ago, and I prefer LO and sometimes minialbums. The cards, instead, simply hates me! Actually I'm part of a sketch DT, and in the past, for 3 years, I worked for Italian Scrapbooking Association as designer and forum animator. I'm gradueted in Agriculture, and I work for the Province of Cremona, Agricultural department. But I'm so lucky! I can work at home, so I have time to devote to my hobbies: reading, sporting, gardening, and of course, scrapbooking. For me it's like a drug... It allows me to express the artistic side of me and at the same time create something that preserves forever my fondest memories.

My name is Ann Bacon. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 24 years and we have two children. I have been papercrafting since 1999 and find it very therapeutic! People often ask me how I find the time to create the cards and crafts that are on my blog. The answer? If you love it, you find the time! I am a Literacy Specialist in an elementary school by day. Although I no longer have my own class, I love teaching teachers and working with them in their classrooms. In addition to papercrafting, flea markets, antique shops, decorating, and reading are all passions for me. I love new challenges and adventures and I'm very excited to be on the Frosted Designs Friday Challenge Team! I can't wait to see what we all create!

I am a Mom to 3 really amazing kids, the 2 oldest are married, the youngest still at home going to college.

Life is pretty good here in North East PA where I live with my husband and 4 dogs. Grandkids, dogs, nature, and everyday life is what I enjoy scrapbooking. My style is my OWN I have given up on trying to keep up with others. I am who I am and thats how it is..When I am not scrapbooking you might find me out in the yard with the dogs, or taking care of my garden/flowers. I also dabble in a little sewing, I enjoy cooking & baking for the family, listening to country music and most of the time you will find a cup of coffee near by. That's me in a nutshell.

And of course we have some of your favorites back with more inspiration.....
