Hi everyone! Debbie here today to share with you a mixed media canvas I made using the
I really love creating with a canvas. The process is so unforgiving. Make a mistake and it's easy to cover it up whether you use some molding paste, inks, sprays or paint.
I started off by covering my 6" x 6"canvas with some papers from the December kit. I then covered the papers with some Faber Castell Gesso found in our Mixed Media Starter kit to tone down the colors a little. Next I cut a square of the gold glitter tulle from the kit and glued it on top of my canvas. I then used the Heidi Swapp Confetti stencil, found here in the store and applied some Golden Molding Paste from the Mixed Media Starter kit. I randomly added some of the seed bead mix from the kit to my wet molding paste. I applied some Golden Molding Past to the Maya Road Chipboard snowflakes.
I used a Die Namics Scallop die on the piece of white glitter felt and then dipped a paint brush into the Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist - Forever Red and painted the felt scallop red. You can see it in the picture above tucked under the gold vellum embellishment.
To create the snow- like frame around my canvas, I applied Golden Molding Paste which I mixed with some coarse salt to give it a grainy effect. I kept adding it around my frame to build it up and give it more dimension.
I love this month's Mixed Media Paper Kit!
