SHOW ME SUNDAY BY: Libeeti

Hi, it's Libeeti here, and I'd like to show you an easy way to make a flower out of cans' lids. You can make it very quickly and you also recycle those lids!
I learned this technique from a friend at work, only she makes stunning jewelries from it. I took it to the scrappy side :).

You'll need:
8 cans' lids
embroidery thread (or any other thread you wish)
crochet hook

Step 1:
Put one lid on another one, so that it overlaps one of the holes:

Step 2:
Work sc through the holes of both lids:

Setp 3:
Join another lid the same way:

Step 4:
Work the same way with all the lids:

Step 5:
Close the line to a circle, still working sc:

Step 6:
Make 1-2 sc in the first two holes, to give strength to the circle:

That's it! you've got your flower!
You can live it this way:

Or you can add a row of cs all around the flower:

Easy peasy, right? Now you've got your metal recycled embellishment :).

Another option is to leave the row of lids, with out joining them to a circle. Here's a lo I've made using it as an embellishment:

And a close-up:

Have a lovely weekend!
