Sundays with Sandee - it's not magic, it's practice!

Sunday, August 10, 2014

Hi everyone!

Here's my canvas that I created using the book from the Moonlit Dreams kit. It's on page 4 if you are following along.

My video is a little different today because I just focused on how to draw the hand and the tiny fairy that is perched on top of her finger. I think that hands and teeth are the hardest things to draw...do you have a part of the anatomy that you find difficult to sketch?

Here's the video, I hope it helps you with drawing hands. I know I still need to work on this myself, but with the help of the book, maybe I can get better at this skill! Practice, practice, practice...right?

I also had to dress up the fairy a bit. I didn't like how bare she looked, so don't be afraid to change and embellish things a bit!

Have a great week, and draw a fairy...share it over on the Frosted Designs Facebook page. I really want to see what you create!

Wonderful lesson, Sandee. I love that you explained proportion and placement as that is often times what discourages people when they try to draw and think they have failed. Sometimes it's just the proportion or placement that makes the difference.
As usual, your piece is gorgeous.

Thanks for the lesson. I thin the circles with the hands will help.
