Fairies in the Garden with Tamiko!

Sunday, August 3, 2014

Hi everyone, Tamiko  here!!
Today is Sunday and let's face it.. even fairies rest (smile)!  What do you imagine your fairy's home to look like??  Hmm, I imagine a fairy's house would look like.. an eclectic combination of found things possibly? If found one, in my garden at home.  This is what came to mind...

I always imagined that fairies lived in the most plush grasslands.  Shaded by big blossoms, blades of grass and roots of trees.  Rooftops full of leaves and twigs.  The outer walls of mud and rocks.
I used my Stone stencil from the MoonLit Dreams kit to build texture with  Modeling Paste on the outside of the house. Then I painted it using my DecoArt Multi Surface Satin Paints adding color.  I also used my blue china pencil to add dimension.  Then I took my Unibal Signo gel pen in white to add accent markings.

this flower was created by using my Oopsie Daisy stencil from DecoArt with the ink pads and gelatos, details added with my Fude Ball pen by Ranger. (found in the mixed media kit).  That pen truly guides as smoothly as Dina Wakely shows it does (just so you know) ::haha::

Just a another image of the the page..

Just so you guys  know.. The Dylusions journal stands up to the many layers.. one might like to creating a mixed media journal page.  I love knowing that my work is not going to come through the other side of the page.  I have had this book a while and was afraid to mess it up (smiles), but to be honest.. The pages are very durable.  I am very pleased with it.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by on your Sunday!  Your visit is important to me!
Enjoy the rest of your week!!
