Sundays with Sandee

Saturday, February 8, 2014

Hi everyone, thanks for checking with me today to see what I have planned, I know with the Olympics going on and Valentine's Day just around the corner that everyone is pretty busy! So, I thought I'd make a play on those 3 little words we all love to hear....
Charge it baby!
OK, so not those 3 little words, :) But choose 3 of your favorite things, whether they are tools, mediums, techniques it doesn't matter. And draw or paint whatever you want. It doesn't have to be what I do, but feel free to copy anything I do!!

Here's my journal page, using 3 of my favorite tools:

Now you do not have to draw using a pipette, but if you want a way to loosen up your skills then this is the way. I just love how the moon and the tree turned out.
I created the night background by layering my sprays, which means each layer needs to dry so that you can see the other colors, and the white Dylusion Ink Spray does wonders for blending and softening the effect.
And lastly is my field of flowers done completely with the pipette, now seriously I could not have achieved this with a paint brush!

Here's the video so you can watch the pipette drawing technique:

I do hope you can join us over on the Frosted Designs Facebook page and show us your stuff! We have so much fun over there and feel free to ask any questions if you have any! We love hearing from you!
♥ Happy Valentine's Day to everyone ♥
