Chocolate + Shades of Spring = yummy goodness

I have to say the color combinations in this kit are awesome!!

Ever have one of those days when only chocolate would suffice? I do, often!
So I love making these little shadow boxes filled with an emergency supply of chocolate....for those "occasions" when we need it!

I began by painting the plastic trim around the box with the Ranger Juniper Dauber, which can be used on a variety of different surfaces! I covered the wood veneer word 'bliss' with the Picked Raspberry ink ( using a Prima stamp from a previous kit ) and then covered it with Glossy Accents, just adore how it came out.

I also took some white acrylic paint and applied it through the Faded Dots stencil with a stencil brush to give it a nice texture to the painted trim and then used my Signo white pen to detail the edges. Using the Basic Grey pattern papers is a snap because they are all designed to work together and coloring in the letters on my words with the Gelly Roll pens by Sakura just brings a project together.

You might also notice the little gems in the corners which also came from yet another kit. Details like embellishments that work from one kit to the next with them all interacting with each other is a FABULOUS reason that I love our kits. Debbie and Barb have down an outstanding job at designing them,
don't you agree?

And NOW, just to make being a kit subscriber even more awesome, we have a challenge with prizes just for you
Brandi came up with a fun recipe challenge, and you just have to pick 3:

White Gel Pen (GREAT for faux stitching!)
At least ONE of the Distress Inks (Lemon and Raspberry included!)
At least ONE of the wood veneer pieces
The color PINK
At least ONE sticker (Full sheet included!)

So you can see, my little shadow box uses the white gel pen, the distress ink and a wood veneer piece!

Does it get any better than this?....Well maybe if we get to eat that piece of chocolate! :)
