Have you heard of under journaling?
It's a 'secret' way of writing out what you feel, what you think or maybe what really just plain bugs you!
The words you choose to use in your work mean more to you than they do to others, so my advice is to write from the heart, you're going to cover it up anyway, you will be the only one who will really know what's written there. In the meantime, you will have created an awesome layer that will peep through.

You can barely see the underwriting journaling, but it shows through just enough to add another layer of interest to the page.
I think one of my favorite parts is the eyes...that and the swatch of white hair, but then I am becoming more partial to white hair, lol
