Framed Project Tutorial by Lydia!

Saturday, March 10, 2012

Hello Everyone!  Lydia here and today I have a framed project to share with you.  I've had this frame for quite awhile and just wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it.  When I got these photos printed, I knew they would be perfect for this frame.

I painted the frame brown and then stamped it with my woodgrain stamp.  I love the way that turned out.  Subtle but just right.  I added some old book pages to the frames that I didn't want photos in.

Ripping, misting, and rumpling gave me the look I wanted.  My best friend Lynne and I found these ink quills at a junk shop one day.  I've been hanging onto them cause they are just so cool!  I thought 3 wrapped together with my favourite....twine.....would be just right for this project.

These wee bottles were a find the in the same junk shop.  Love my tiny things.  I picked up the shells from our favourite beach and the sand....well, it just came from my shoes!  I could have a beach in my back yard just from the sand that we collect in shoes.  :)

Some buttons, lace trim, flowers, and a few wee words that describe my boys complete the frame.  I love the way it turned out.

I hope you've enjoyed my project and are thinking about a way you can showcase some special photos.

Happy Crafting!  :)

Stunning Lydia, I love it. I have a Tim Holtz tray (a bit large, would need a lot of stuff to fill it!!) but it is lovely and I hope to get round to doing that. Your tutorial has given me some good ideas. Gorgeous boys too. Thank you. Debbiexx
