SPECIAL EDITION SHOW ME SATURDAY: by ELI

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Good morning, girls. Today I want to show a simple and creative idea to use old buttons that often we have at home. I've had very many of those who took my grandmother, they are all different, large and small, some even broken or damaged, especially with ivory color that was used once and often in the pages of scrapbooking I do not know how to use. The peculiarity ofthis framework is that I did not use glue, so if you do not like to order more, you can always take it apart!

Materials:
Polystyrene Frame
Lots of old buttons
Many pins
Fabric coordinated
Corrugated cardboard
Embellishments (I used a wood swirl Kaiser Craft, flowers and leaves Prima Marketing, StampFlorileges Design, pearls, punch butterfly and stickers.)

With a cutter marked the corners of the frame without going too deep.

Lay the fabric over the frame.
Helping you with something sharp, push the fabric into the cuts you made.
Fold the fabric under the frame and begin to put the buttons one by one fixed to the frame with pins.
Tip: keep the pins at an angle and used more than one for each button, if necessary.
Cover all the frame in this way and finally add a rectangle of corrugated cardboard, the size of the frame, on the back.
Attach a hook for hanging.

Now you need to decorate!

Bee-utifully embellished button franme. I've created my entry for the buttons challenge button (could not resist) I used only 1 button because it seemed just the right touch and will post for Sun blog post and link and you can let me know if acceptable for challenge or not).
