SHOW ME SUNDAY BY: Ann

I love roses, so here's a tutorial to show you how to make rosebuds that will live forever!

Start with a 3 inch square of cardstock. I used Colonial White. Trim the edges so you have a circle.

Starting anywhere on the circle cut a spiral toward the center. Do not make it even. It adds interest to your rosebud!

Be sure to leave a small circle at the center. This will be your base.

With a sponge dauber, sponge some color on the edges of your spiral. Be sure to do both sides.

Starting with the outer edge, start rolling the spiral on a wooded skewer.

Keep rolling...

All the way to the center.

Slide your rosebud off the skewer and allow it to open up a bit.

Put a dab of glue (I used a glue gun) on the small circle in the middle and gently press down on the rosebud.

Add a couple of leaves, and your rosebud is complete!

I put the quarter there, so you could see the size of the rosebud. These can be made with a smaller or larger square of cardstock, depending on the size you want.

Here is another one that I made using a smaller square of cardstock:

You can view the entire project here.
These rosebuds can be used to decorate so many projects. Enjoy!
