SHOW ME SUNDAY BY: ANGELA

Sunday, February 27, 2011

I have made a 50th anniversary album. I have used METAL SHIM which I have embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder to give it a gorgeous texture. I have found it extremely hard to locate SHIM where I am and lucky I had some in my stash....but I cannot remember where I got it from! I have only seen it on the PTI site.
You need to be really careful when working with this as it can be really sharp!
Wrap it around a piece of cardboard the size you want. I cut off the corners to get a nice even flat fit!
cut co ordinating card to a little smaller than your shim cover.
Round the corners of one to cover the back of the front cover to give it a nice clean look.

punch holes and adhere to back of the front cover.

Decorate the front with beads, bling and flowers

attach as many pages as you think you will use and make sure you the holes all evenly. Use some ring clips to hold it all together and attach co ordinating ribbon to decorate.

My ribbon looks a little busy in the photo so I have pushed it around the back to give you a better idea of the whole project!
