Welcome to our new and improved challenge blog!! We are so excited you are here for our first week of everything new!! We have been teasing you for weeks about the changes coming to Frosted Designs... now it is finally time to share some of the exciting things happening here!!

Every Friday, as we always have done, we will have a FABULOUS FRIDAY CHALLENGE. This challenge is to encourage you to use up the supplies you already have in creative ways!! You are going to be seeing more projects from us along with the layouts and cards you have become used to! You are also going to be seeing more prizes and more variety with the prizes!! We will slowly move from monthly prizes to biweekly prizes to eventually offering weekly prizes!!

On Sundays, you are going to learn new tips and techniques from our design team and how to apply them to your cards, layouts and projects!! These tutorials are going to be called SHOW ME SUNDAYS and they start this weekend! Be sure to check back for our first Show Me Sunday!

Now... here is something I am soooooo excited about!! We are going to be adding a SKETCH CHALLENGE!! Yes, you heard me correctly!! Our very own designers Diana and Debbie have been busy creating some new and fresh sketches that you will only find here on Frosted Designs!! Look for the first SKETCH ALONG TUESDAY post in this upcoming week!! These sketches will be biweekly and will have their own prize... all you have to do is participate!!

We hope you are as excited about the new changes as we are!! Finally, it is time to announce this week's challenge....
We are challenging you to use our theme... Holiday Treats!  This can be anything that has to do with a Holiday Treat! You can share your favorite recipe, you can show us your favorite food/treat gifts, there is also gift wrap.... or you can even do a LO about your favorite holiday treat!! The possibilities are endless... which our design team has demonstrated this week!

Before we show you what the design team did, we would love to show you this weeks prize! We are being sponsored by Purple Panda Designs! Here is some information straight from the owner!

Hi!  I'm Kayla and I'm 16 years old.  I have been drawing since I was little.  All the stamps you see are hand drawn by me.  I draw for fun and sell my stamps for a little money while I am still in school.   I just started my store at http://www.shophandmade.com/.  All of my stamps can be seen on my blog at http://purplepandad.blogspot.com/ which has a link directly to the store.  I hope you enjoy my stamps!

The randomly chosen winner will receive their choice of 3 stamps from Kayla's store!! Go check them out!! You are going to want to win this prize!!!

We spent this past week introducing you to our new team... now it is time to show you their work!

Joni

Joni made this cute little jar using an old pickle jar...just wrapped pattterned paper around to cover the parts of the label she couldn't get removed.  A package of stickers and a ribbon....  now, what to fill it with??  The possiblities are endless...

Diana made these treat boxes for her DD Kindergarten class. She is putting a cupcake in each of them and adhering with a clue dot to the bottom of the cupcake wrapper so that the cupcake stay put. She used MS pp pad and K & Company Halloween die cuts.

Cassie used a Purple Panda digital stamp to create treat cups, cupcake flags and dish I.D. tags for her upcoming Halloween party.

Gulnara wanted to do a layout about her child enjoying the holiday treats! This is the story, named "What happens when time for Holiday Treats comes")))
Libeeti made this lo about her family tradition to give the kids nuts on Passover, after the the formal feast, so they can play with them. In the photo, young Libeeti is holding the bag with the nuts. Libeeti said that they were thrilled to get those nuts and play with them all night, while the grown-ups set and had their talks, till bed time. The title is a line from a Passover's
song, and it says: My pockets are filled with nuts

Kim used the Purple Panda rip image to create a creepy tag for her husband's Halloween treat jar. She filled a jar full of Hershey Nuggets with almonds, one of his faves. She colored up the rip image and and attached to some creepy dp.
This is the top view of her candy jar. She used a felt embellishment and some Halloween trim to finish off the treat.

Jessica altered a clean, recycled glass gravy jar into a perfect little gift giving container. She wrapped two layers of coordinating scalloped cardstock around the base of the jar, then topped with a strip of Bo Bunny Olivia paper. To hide the seam in the Bo Bunny paper, she cut out similar flowers from the scraps and popped them up using foam pop dots. She wound a length of 1-1/2" wide satin for the bow, tucking it under the large flower for a seamless transition.

For the lid, Jessica traced the top of the lid onto the reverse side of the same Olivia paper (which can be seen on the reverse of the jar band when the jar is opened). She wrapped the side of the lid in satin ribbon that she pleated using dots of hot glue to hold down the pleats. Everything on this jar was adhered using hot glue.

Since this jar can't be washed, it will be filled with wrapped candy and small gift items for her kiddo's teachers. That way, they can reuse this container for treats of their own when they've gone through the goodies it will come with!

Esther

Esther got out her Cricut machine to create this adorable layout! She used the Winter Frolic cart for the title and Create a Critter for the penguin!!
Barb

Barb whipped together some yummy Halloween treats to send to her daughters at college! She wrapped their favorite candy bars with cute patterned paper and added some fun embellies. She also made a card as well as a "matchbook" to hold their gift cards!

Pat made this adorable Advent Calendar! Would you like to know how she did it? You might just want to check back Sunday!!

And now... we are going to leave you with a card that the lovely
Angela made using a Purple Panda Designs digi!!
Isn't it beautiful? You could win this digi for yourself! All you have to do is play along!!

WOW!! That is a lot of inspiration!! Now we would love to see what you can do!! Share your holiday treats with us!!
