Doodling/Handwriting challenge

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Hi! I'm back with a new challenge for you!! How do you feel about the look of your own handwriting? Does touching a pen to your project make you nervous?! Well this challenge is for you! We are challenging you to use your own handwriting or doodle on your card, layout or project!! Here is a sample I did to show you how easy it can be!! I am not an artist by any means so I didn't want to have to "free hand" any of the designs! All I did was take the flowers that were already on the paper and added my own lines in black!! It made the flowers stand out a little more and added a fun element to the page!! (I also pop dotted the centers of the flowers to make them a little more dimensional!)
Around the "frame" of the photo I outlined it with a black gel pen and then added the XOXO!! I think it turned out great for the photo!! (Which by the way is a picture of my youngest daughter, Lauren with her cousin Brayden. They were born about 3 months apart! They are not going to like these photos at all as they get older!!) I outlined the "Tweet" because it became my title and I wanted it to stand out a bit more! I finished off my layout with putting little speech bubbles by each of these little darlings... I thought this might be what they would like to say to my sister and I during this little photo shoot!! See how easy it can be?! If you would like to find out more about this layout, you can go to my blog by clicking HERE! Now... let's see you give it a try!! If you use a pen ANYWHERE on your project, it qualifies for this challenge!! Easy Peasy!! Now, take a look at what you are playing for.....

If you play along with us... you have a chance to win this fabulous Prize by our very own Pat!! Pat has a Stampin' Up store and you can find it by clicking HERE!

This prize includes: Wicked Fun Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up: 12 sheets in the package, Pumpkin pie ribbon, Rich Razzleberry ribbon, & Black ribbon! Now that is one yummy prize!! Each time you submit an entry during October, you will be put in a drawing for this prize. At the end of the month (Oct. 28th to be exact!), we will randomly draw a winner!! Remember... you have to play to win!!

The DT did a wonderful job with this challenge.

Joni
Joni had this great photo of her husband walking her son into Kindergarten so she made sure to get a similar photo this year for First Grade. Everything in White is Hand-doodled/drawn. Patterned paper & embellies are Bella Blvd Midterm line.

Diana had so much fun with this one. Diana loves to doodling and if She's on the phone with you, rest assure she is doodling. Diana used these photos of her Daughter Natalie little Tantrum at the mini golf, she found them playful for this challenge. She could not stop writing or doodling.

Debbie chose some fun doodling paper by My Little Shoebox for her layout and added some extra dashes and dots!

Sharon

Sharon made this card for her mom's coworker who is retiring for
teaching and thought why not use school cuts from doodle
charms. She loves to doodle but, do not like her hand writing
that is why she usually depend on stamps or her computer.

Now it's your turn! We would love to see your cards, layouts and projects. Be sure to link up your entry by noon (CST) Thursday!

AND... do you want some candy?! Click HERE to learn how you can win some!!

Would you like to become a member of our Design Team?! Then click HERE for more information on how to apply!!

I hate my handwriting, and it is definitely a challenge for me to put it on a card or layout. But that's what challenges are for! I hope to get to participate this week! Thanks for the awesome inspiration!
