I began scrapbooking in well... I am not really sure of the year. I think it was like 1999. I was a stamper prior to my scrapbooking, which is a funny story in itself! I chose to scrapbook because deep down inside I am an author. I should be writing a novel or something, but instead I chose to scrapbook because I relish all the little stories I may forget. (did I mention I have four kids and three dogs-- yeah I'm lucky I remember my own name!) I really love the journaling aspect of scrapbooking. I also love color and photography so scrapbooking is a natural fit for me! I also enjoy quilting, which I don't do as much of as I would like to. You can see more of my work by visiting my blog... click HERE to go to it!!
I chose to feature border punches because I think since re-appearing on the scrapbook scene, they have truly found a secure place. I have watched scrapbooking change so much over the years and the old is now being made new. (Just like clothes!--hold on to those 1980s Franky T-shirts girls!) I am always looking for that little something to finish a layout, somehow the fun of border punches adds that visual texture that so many of us are looking for. I created the layout for this wonderful product and realized its not just border punches that I adore! The flower on the layout is actually made from a circle punch.
I hope you enjoy all the great ideas that this fabulous design team has put together for this fun challenge and don't forget to add your layout for a chance to win this prize being offered!! Wouldn't you like to find this in your mailbox?!! You have to play to win!! Be sure to become a follower as well!!
I look forward to peeking at all your great border punch ideas.
Blessings friends and remember... Wholy border punches Batman,YOU are amazing!
Joni used a Stampin' Up heart border punch on the dark brown paper up the right edge of the layout to add a subtle accent.
Debbie used one of her favorite Fiskar Border Punches, Scallop!
Barb used a Martha Stewart punch to create a border all the way around the photo.
Diana used my Deer Lizzy pps that she just loves. She cut out the flowers from the pp and also from the material. She used one of her MS punches for the border and K & Company lace pp. She just loves this photo of Monica. At first she refused to go to the tea party, but after Diana made her go she had a wonderful Time!!!
Now... get out those punches and let us see what you can do!! Be sure to link up your project for a chance to win this month's prize!! 7 Comments »
