Tutorial Tuesday with Rachelle!

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Hi there FD friends! Rachelle here super excited to be sharing 2 projects I created using this month's gorgeous kit~"Garden of Abundance." As always there is lots of cool products in the kit so much so I could not stop creating. Let's look at the first one.

Project #1

             Heart & Soul

 Step 1
I started off with mixed media on the second layer. I used my brick stencil then applied chipboard bricks in each corner. Next came the last layer. Then I inked the edges. In the center I used a small square of burlap and die cut center. Next I applied the greenery and flourish.

Step 2

I loved the chipboard title which I painted and inked the edges. Then applied to the center.

Step 3

Time for the beautiful embellishments. I love the ivory pearl flourish and light green flowers.

 Step 4
I so loved the wooden bird cages so I applied along with the metal bird. I used flowers and metal elements from previous kits which blended in well.
Finally I applied the beautiful Prima butterflies, ribbon, and butterfly stick pin.
All done!

Project #2

Time for the second project which is a mixed media tag. I always have fun getting messey!
Step 1

I applied the layers followed by applying the brick texture background. While drying I placed 2 paint brushes on top.

Step 2

I applied white paint to cover the brushes and lettering followed by misting and using heating tool to dry more quickly.

Step 3
Now it's time for the embellishments. I applied lace, rhinestones, and flowers.

Step 4

Here you can see the metal trinkets I applied. I have become addicted to these and others.

Step 5
Finally, I applied crinkle ribbon through the top hole. All finished!

Lots of pretty accents, blooms, vintage style lace, chipboard, inks and more! I have a happy card and tag that was fun to create using the Garden Of Abundance Kit and more.

Thanks for stopping by today and remember to get your kit and more at the
Frosted Designs Store. A great place to get all your project needs.

See Ya Soon!
