I started scrapbooking in late 2001 when I was trying to preserve a memory of a recently lost pet. I was so glad I was already involved in this hobby when my son, Joseph, was born in 2003. My husband of 17 years, John supports my “habit”, I mean “addiction”, I mean “craft” --- knowing that I’m preserving memories for our son and his future family. I’m truly blessed.  About a year ago, I was discussing scrapbooking styles with a scrappy friend. I said that I didn’t think I had a “defined” style. She laughed at me…then proceeded to describe my style as “practical and deliberate”. I’m ok with that, I guess, as it really describes my personality to a T.  I will openly admit that I’m a patterned paper addict. There are so many companies that enable me…well, it’s just sad (and funny at the same time).  I really enjoy participating in different challenge sites and am honored to be a guest designer here this week.  I sometimes hear scrappers saying they can’t use flowers or “bling” because they do all boy layouts. I used to say that too, then I decided flowers and bling are not just for girls! Thanks for letting me share … I hope you enjoy the challenge and my “boy bling” layout!!!

Hello! My name is Lori Padberg. I was introduced to scrapbooking about twelve years ago by my good friend Dee but didn't get into cardmaking until about a year ago. When Dee and I were Christmas shopping last November she pointed out the Cricut and told me how awesome it was. Well, I got one the day after Thanksgiving and that's when my paper crafting/cardmaking really took off. Since I don't have a long history of stamping, I haven't built up a very large rubber stamp collection. Lucky for me digital stamps have become popular. They are definitely my prefered "stamp" because of the ease of storage and the ability to resize images to a particular project's needs. I recently discovered Copics and am working on building up my collection and improving my coloring skills. I started my blog in June of this year. I love doing challenges and am continually inspired by all the amazing talent out there. I'm fortunate that I am able to find crafting time almost everyday. I'm honored to be a guest DT member this week and I hope everyone enjoys the challenge!
