LOVE.. This is Our Story... with Connie

Monday, September 22, 2014

Hi Everyone! It's me Connie and I am here on the blog today with my page.  I used the gorgeous September Kit" We are Family".
I love layers, texture, flowers and lace. I used a picture of my daughter Serena and her boyfriend Skye.  These 2 beautiful people just happen to match my September Kit and now they are the focus of  my Layout.

I used several paper layers and added molding paste and the Lace stencil.

Here is a closeup of the banner. I created banner using the stickers from the sticker sheet, black Card stock and Twine.  You can see the stamps and the doily is inked.

Here is the right corner.

The bottom right corner with the flower cluster I added a pearl to the butterflies

Here is a close up of left bottom corner. I used the sticker sheet from the kit for the title and the border. I added lace and some flatback pearls. I also added some lace from my stash.

Thanks for looking. Here are the items from Frosted Designs Store.

Bella Blvd Happiness with Megan!

Thursday, September 4, 2014

Hello everyone! Megan here today sharing a couple layouts I created using the Bella Blvd Daily Chevies and Snapshots collections. I have to be honest...I am just stuck in a creative rut right now! I think it's because we have so much going on with buying a new house and trying to get all moved in. I want to scrap but it seems that every time I sit down to do so, my mind goes blank and I just don't feel my mojo flowing. So, when that happens, I try to not only pick up product that helps put me in the mood to scrap, but I search out a sketch or two to help get the creative juices flowing. And that's exactly what I did for these two layouts!

My first layout is based on this sketch from Elle's Studio. This sketch allowed for a lot of creative freedom and I felt the fun design paired well with these bright, fun products. The star border really helps to separate the yellow chevron from the striped paper which is something I felt needed to be done. Also the little house pennant actually started off as a tag I found in the die-cuts package; all I did was cut off the top of it to make it a pennant!

My second layout is based on this sketch from Studio Calico. I knew I had to use the fun teal woodgrain pattern found on the backside of the Snapshots Pajama Day paper for a background. Then, because this pattern was fairly neutral, I used more busy patterns for my accent papers. I used the black and white elements (the black with white polka dot paper, the washi tape and the arrow) to help pull everything together.

And here are a few closeups for your enjoyment!

Did you know that all the products from both of these Bella Blvd lines are on super sale right now in the Frosted Designs store? Yep, they are! So you should head over there right now and stock up before it's all gone!

Life Documented with Connie!

Thursday, August 28, 2014

Hi everyone. It's me Connie and I am hosting the blog today.  I created a page with a picture of my Daughter and her Boyfriend in their Prom attire.  I had ordered about 200 photo's online and they did not arrive.  I was getting ready to print a couple at home and place another order at the store when this box arrived. A gentleman had my photo's in with his order and when he looked at them he knew they would be missed and he mailed them to me.  I am very grateful and lucky.

Here is the page
I mixed the Summer's end and the Enchanted kits.

Here is a close up
I made rolled roses with the pattern papers

I added a sticker for the title

I cut the doily in the kit in half and added flowers from the End of Summer kit.
