A Beautiful Day with Connie and the Spring Gardens Kit!

Hi Everyone! Connie here and it's my turn at Frosted Designs.  I am loving the April kit "Spring Garden".  Since spring is finally here in the North Country. (Sorta) I dug up a spring photo from last year. My daughter Serena and her boyfriend at Prom. I love that her dress can go with so many of my printed paper.  


I started by using a lace punch.
I inked the edges 
trimmed pattern paper to 11 x 11
cut top piece 4 x 11
applied to base
I cut another pattern paper 1 x 11
I painted gesso on the fabscrap chipboard piece and when it was dry lightly inked it.
I added another frame from a border punch from my stash
I used another pattern paper for the photo mat  4 1/4 x 6 1/4. 
I used the same paper and cut 2 pieces for the frames.
I used the stencil and molding paste on random parts on the page.
when it was  dry I applied  frame. doily and flower clusters.
I also cut out Title and pop dotted it to frame.

A Tussie Mussie Tuesday Tutorial with Connie!

Hi Everyone Connie Here with this weeks tutorial.
With Mother's day coming I have planned on giving my sister and my scrappy friends. Scrapbook Embellishment gifts. I thought of using a gift bag but changed my mind and have created large tussie mussies to hold the tiny treasures.

Altered Tin with Spring Gardens Kit with Brandi!!!!

Hello everyone!!!  Brandi here today with an altered tin I made using this month's fabulous "Spring Gardens Kit"!

Here's a look:


My husband gave me a hot tea tin he had and I knew it would be a perfect project (so did he!!!). I wrapped the tin with the beautiful papers, then started to embellish!
I used the trim from the kit, one of the wooden frames, a quote from last month's kit, and one of the resin butterflies for the front!

Here's a close-up of the butterfly.  I used ink from a previous kit to add a small amount of color!


I used one of the wooden Kaisercraft balloons and several of the flowers for the top!  I also used ink from past kits to add some color to the all white flowers :-)



 As you can see, I wrapped the trim around the entire tin!

Guest Designer - Karrie Sweet!

We are thrilled to announce another Guest Designer this week!! Karrie has been a long time supporter of Frosted Designs and we love her work! (We think you will too!) Not only is she sharing a gorgeous project, but she is also sharing the steps she took to create it!! Thanks Karrie!

Hi I’m Karrie and I am very honoured to be the guest of Frosted Designs today.  
 I want to share my recent project using some items from the Out of the Blue kit (love it!) such as 
papers from the Kaisercraft Blue Bay collection, as well as mini roses. 
I also used Tim Holtz stencils for my background that I received in other Frosted kits!  
 My good friend is getting married and I wanted to give her something for 
displaying her favourite wedding photo.   My super-talented hubby is going to be making a shadowbox type frame before we gift it.

 So sshh don’t tell her!  
Her wedding colours are black and purple, so of course that’s what I went with.
 I’ve taken some pix of some of the process, which took about 4 hours start to finish. 
Gather supplies, create a background on cardboard...

...well, play with it some more...   Fussy cut the Calla Lily deco from the invitation...
 fussy cut roses and add more layers.

I know my friend loves the beach so I think seashells are a perfect touch.   White gauze, black tissue paper, flowers,  and pearls complete the project.

 I hope you enjoyed getting the sneak peek and I sure hope she will like it!

A Spring Garden Flower Girl!

Hi there FD friends! Rachelle here today and I am so excited to share my project using this month's gorgeous kit~Spring Gardens. I went with a clean and simple layout project with a little punch! Let's take a look.

 "Flower Girl"


 I really enjoyed working with these beautiful products and pastel colors. I creating this project very clean and simple using the Heidi Swapp Wanderlust Collection.

Here you can see the floral cluster with Prima Flowers and Maya Road Butterfly Stick pins. I also added the lace pearl trim and a resin clock from a previous kit. A great tip!

 
Here is the journal which says:"Shanella dropped the rose petals during the wedding. Now it's picture time."


Here I applied one the Heidi Swapp Metal Arrows and several trinkets from a previous kit.


This is a close up view of the little flower girl which blends in well with the pastel paper collection. There are so many more fantastic products in this kit that I can't wait to use in my next project.
