Rummage and Ransack with Tamiko

Sunday, November 16, 2014

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday, I'm Tamiko!  I love playing with my Rummage & Ransack Mixed Media Kit from Frosted Designs!  You can see the contents of the kit below..

Ever feel blocked?  Like you have lost your creative mojo?  You have time to create, but you just don't have any ideas?  Having this kit helps solves all that!  I often walk away from projects and do other things when I feel like I can't focus on the original task.  This kit allows you keep the passion for creating alive & still feed the desire to create!  You can make your pages as simple or complex as you like!

With my page today I am creating with:
Scavenger item #57- a piece of origami
Alteration items #45- cutting bits of paper and gluing them down
and item #74 add one NEVER ENDING line.. lol

Above you find that  I did a background with my dry brush of purple and blue with the kit. I use some matte medium to adhere a few paper bits. I then created a border with the black and doodled  with my Unibal Signo white gel pen this very popular never ending line...

  • This is the song that doesn't end. Yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it , not knowing what it was, and they'll continue singing it forever just because.  It is the song that never ends..

I looped those words around the page and through it.  On top of that I adhered  my origami dress. These origami dresses are so great to make.  Can't tell you how many I've made with various papers from the Frosted Design Store!  Then I doodled the words to the song again along the seams of the dress..  (smiles)

My next project I decided to  create with:
Scavenger item #2- the number five
Alteration items #142- add one/series of arrows
and item #17- add a color you dislike
(note- I don't dislike many colors at all.. but I am indeed not fond of beige-like color found in the background of this page)

My originally selected number 5 was a cut out from the page of a book.. I knew that was too small.. so I decided to paint my fives in black, my five arrows in other colors and added a few black splatters.  I also did some small journaling with my Sakura Identi-pen.. Things I thought of in groups of 5,   again with the set in the Rummage and Ransack Kit.  Can you believe it is only FIVE WEEKS till Christmas? Which means, you have time to order this kit, to gift (smiles)!

Well that's it for me!  As always I had fun creating these pages and I am looking forward playing with it even more!!  Have a WONDERIFICAL WEEK to you all!!! :)

Wow...page one. Amazing! Every element in this is awesome. The musical background ties the song that never ends, the colors (spectacular), the origami dress is wonderful (tried them once before when you shared and I wasnt very good at it), the butterfly/dragonfly design could be either in my eyes and I love that. Im working on a piece and you've inspired me to try that origami dress again. Page two is awesome, but I also am not fond of beige. You showed me that I could become fond of it by learning to use it on a painting with colors that it enhances. Beautiful work, Tamiko... off to try a dress again. Thanks for the renewed inspiration.
