Beautiful Life Notebook with Mindy!

Hi there everyone. It's Mindy here.
I have a notebook I made using most of the products in this months Kit.
I just adore this kit. The colors are gorgeous. I just love the new Tim Holtz stencil. I used some 3d molding paste on my journal with the stencil. I have distressed the edges of paper with my scissors and then I distressed them with the Tim Holtz Crackle Paint.

I used some of the rub ons from the kit as well. Here's the sentiments along the bottom of the notebook.

I also added some faux stitching along the top corner. I took the Maya Road Scalloped Frame and painted it with white acrylic paint. Then I added the rub on in the center.

Generations with Connie!

Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Hi! My Name is Connie Hall and this is my first solo post for Frosted Designs. Let me introduce myself.  I  am mother to 7 children.  6 children I gave birth to and 1 chose me as his mom. I am raising my Family here in Akwesasne with my husband Robert.  We celebrate 25 years of marriage this September and we will finally get our Honeymoon in Hawaii.
I am a Childcare Supervisor during the day. (I work to get a break and to pay for my scrapbook lifestyle.) I love to take pictures of my family. I preserve those memories in a variety of styles. I create Project life, Traditional, 3D,  Shabby chic,
Mixed media. I love flowers, lace, and texture.
I am super excited to be here and ready to share my creations with my new Frosted Design family.

Here is my Heritage page.

Did I mention I also love layers? Well I do and here is an example.  I used the 7 Dots Illumination Kit. It was very fitting for this salvaged photo. This is my Father's Family. They were having a family picnic and my Dad is the one taking the picture.

Here is a close up of the banner created with the paper collection.

Here is a close up of the mask and molding paste and some mist work using Lindy's Stamp Gang Tres Chic.

A Suave Mini Album with Julie!

Monday, July 28, 2014

Hi everyone!

Julie with you here today with my very first 'official' post for Frosted Designs! I am super excited to be here and figured with my first post, I would share some things about me! :)

1) I have been scrapbooking since before dinosaurs roamed the Earth!  Well, not really, but it has been almost 18 years since I started, when my son Adam was born.  When I started, I was a single mom to my son, so I didn't have a great quality camera, so a lot of his younger year photos are dark, small, a lot of background with not a lot of Adam (no zoom) and overall not the best!

2) I love to buy paper collection packs!  Why? Because you get all the paper in a collection for a great price, and don't have to worry about 'missing' any of the papers in the collection.

3) I love to make mini albums! This also leads into #2! Having paper collection packs make making a mini album easier! You have enough papers to create an entire album and have extra papers to add dimension to your pages in your mini album!

4) I love to UPCYCLE! That is one of my big things! I will upcycle/recycle anything into my art! For this mini album I am sharing today (and others I have made), I am using cardboard sleeves that I collected from a ton of my co-workers when my company gave us a paper pad portfolio, that was covered in the cardboard sleeve.  I cut them down to size for my mini albums and they are the perfect upcycle item!

And now for my mini-album!  As I mentioned above, I have a lot of photos from my son Adam growing up -- they aren't the best photos, since I didn't have a great camera when he was growing up, but that doesn't mean that they don't deserve to be scrapped! :)

I used Authentique's Suave collection for my mini album!
