Joni Loves Her Stencil!

Friday, March 7, 2014

I was talking to Barb a few weeks ago and we were discussing how many times I have used this Heidi Swapp Heart Stencil....  so I suggested that I share a quick post showcasing a few projects and the versatility of this fun item.

So I have previously shared these first two layouts.
HERE IS A LINK back to the original blog post where I shared how I did the next 2 layouts.
I added some pen doodles around the circles and hearts on the first one...

And I previously shared how I used the mist that landed "on top" of the mask in the first layout to make the background on this second layout (and that's why the design is reversed).

On this next one, I used paint mixed with Gesso on the stencil and outlined the hearts with Copic markers.

On the next one, I simply traced a few of the hearts with a pencil and then went over my pencil marks with Stickles.

And...here is a canvas that I did of my nephews.  I used the stencil with Modeling Paste and paint on a layer that got mostly covered up, so I went back and went over a few of the hearts with Stickles to help them stand out.

I realized this is my "go to" stencil right now...So easy, fun and appropriate for lots of themes!!  And you can use ALL or PART of it!!!

If you are shopping and taking advantage of the great progressive sale that is going on, you should seriously add this stencil to your collection!!!
