Each of these ladies are so talented and have shared numerous projects with us. It is hard to say good bye to them. They will be missed.
And even though I am sad to see a few designers moving on, I am excited to announce 3 new ladies that are joining our team in January! You might see a few familiar faces….
Hello there fellow scrappers!!! My name is Brandi Matos and I am just another obsessed crafter with a bad habit for paper crafting! I only started into this hobby about two years ago now but have found that this is my TRUE passion! I thoroughly enjoy crafting and put my all into each and every project!!!
I am currently a stay-at-home mother of two beautiful girls, and wife to the world's most amazing husband (Really… he is!!!). We live in sunny Tampa, Florida with most of our family close by. I spend much of my time doing paper crafts and wouldn't have it any other way! I love making scrapbook layouts and cards, as well as altered projects and mixed media work. As this is all still very new to me, I enjoy trying all kinds of techniques, both new and old. I don't really have a set 'style’… I just do what I think looks good 😊
You can check out Brandi's blog HERE!
My name is Jean and I am here to prove that you don’t need to stop scrapping just because your kids are adults. With a 30 year old daughter and a 25 year old son, the topics have changed to new jobs, engagements and even house buying. I can also always resort to digging out those photos from the old photo albums or the dog. He willingly sits for photos. I live in Michigan, although with my daughter being in Phoenix, we now visit there more often too. About two years ago I discovered mixed media and although I am no artist, I enjoy playing and have even begun adding elements of that to my scrapping. I am so excited to be joining the team here at Frosted Designs!
You can find Jean's Blog HERE!
Hi! My name is Lisa and I am super excited to be on the Frosted Designs Team! I started scrapbooking right after the birth of my son sixteen years ago and haven't stopped since! I am currently making scrapbooks for all my nephews and my niece as well as my son so I have plenty of photos to keep me busy. I am the co -owner of a sketch challenge blog called Sketch N Scrap and love using my sketches to inspire others. When I'm not getting my scrap on I like to spend time with my family, watch college basketball, pro football, read or volunteering my time at one of my favorite charities.
You can find Lisa's blog HERE!
Welcome Ladies!! We are thrilled that you are joining our team!!
And I am extremely excited to tell you that these fabulous designers are coming back for another term!!

Bundled Up Tray with Lydia
The Christmas tree is down, the needles vacuumed up and what a better
time than to finish scrap projects in my scrap room.
Lydia here and I've been playing with the Bundled Up collection again. This is such a fun and cute collection. The colors in this collection are just perfect for boys and girls. I truly love the prints and especially the 6x6 pad because the prints are just smaller! Perfect sized for fitting inside this frame or as Project Life cards. Which I plan on doing as well!
I've also used bits from the chipboard stickers and the card stock die cuts. So many fun pieces to play with and plenty to make several projects. I've used some of the chipboard stickers on the outside edges of the frame making them stand out a bit more. I'm quite happy with my silver bells on a bit of twine too.
This collection really is quite fun. I hope you will stop on over to the Frosted Designs Store and check it out along with all the other goodies. I know I'm planning on doing some shopping over there!
Hope you have a peaceful new year! See you again in 2014!

Sunday with Sandee - Cut it out!

Out of a magazine to be more precise!
What is collage?
Did you know that Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque launched collage into the mainstream art community in the early twentieth century? Collage is an artistic composition of materials and objects that are glued down onto a surface and it can be as formal, challenging and expressive as painting.
There will be no handwritten journaling, today we are going to let the printed word speak for us. In other words, we will cut out words or phrases that catch your eye from magazines. I am looking for an upbeat theme here to counterbalance our inner critic page from last week.
I just LOVE this new face stamp, I can see using her on many projects in the future!
Here's the video, I hope you enjoy watching it and that it inspires you to go create your own page and post it over on the Frosted Designs FB page so that we can all see what you made!

December Memories with Brenda!
Saturday, December 28, 2013
Well, it's the end of December....Christmas is over and we're almost at a new year. I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and have plenty of great photos to scrap! Today it's my turn to share a project on the Frosted Designs blog.
If you're like us, December is such a busy month that sometimes some of the little (but still very special) moments get lost in the shuffle. While all the events of the month were still fresh in my mind, I made a page about some of these little moments I want to remember. There weren't photos to go along with most of these, so I chose some of the random December photos that might not otherwise make it onto a page, but still show some happy December times.
I used several items from the Frosted Designs store for this page: paper from the Crate Paper "Bundled Up" 12x12 paper pack, alphabet stickers from the Bo Bunny "Elf Magic" collection and star confetti from Um Wow Studio.
One thing I really like about the Crate Paper "Bundled Up" pack is that some of the papers have little elements to cut out as embellishments: banners, tags, borders, journaling blocks and word blocks. I used two of the little banners for my bottom border, and fussy cut the banner sentiment for an added embellishment. Often I paint the star confetti pieces, but this time I left them their natural wood color and just added some silver glitter. Note: I love the Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue for attaching these tiny pieces or any embellishment. It holds well and dries very quickly. I just used a toothpick to dab a little glue on the stars.
Here's a closeup of some of the glittery stars. I used a small paintbrush and some glue to add some glitter to the banner sentiment, too. Most of the time I'm not a big glitter user because it's so messy (or maybe I'm just messy with it!) but Christmas projects just call out for some extra sparkle!I hope you all have a happy New Year, and take some time to scrap some of your December memories.

Joni Finds Snow in Phoenix! TImbergrove to the Rescue!
Friday, December 27, 2013
Well, I hope it's warm and cozy wherever you are. I know it's always warmer here in Phoenix, Arizona so I won't rub it in. But every year we make a trek to a local festival so that my son, Joseph can play in the "man-made" snow. Yes, we actually pay $2 for 5 minutes so that Mommy can get some snow pictures to scrap. It usually takes me $6 and 15 minutes to get what I want and my little guy is such a trooper to pose for me in between all his playtime!!
Now..due to this information (lack of snow in Phoenix), I will apologize now that you will see the same photos over and over on the following layouts. But, that's ALL the snow stuff I have to work with and it takes effort just to get these photos!!!
So, I was waiting patiently (ok not so patiently) for Fancy Pants Timbergrove to arrive at the store so I could scrap my annual snow photos.
The first three layouts I did (all in one night)....
***********************************
Joseph had fun putting the different pieces of die-cut snowmen together until I found the perfect combination to use on this layout. I used the small alpha stickers for my title and a few of the stickers as accents.
I used a sketch by Wendy Antenucci.
****************************
I removed the string from the tags and replaced it with my own twine.
But then I used that string I had removed to hook the mittens together.
I used 3 different styles of the small alphas for the title "Snow in Phoenix"...yes all of those alphas come in this set!! For this one I used a Pagemaps sketch.
**********************************
Here I used the larger alphas and some stickers, a tag, chipboard (from the button set) and buttons for accents. I also cut open one of the envelopes (maroon diagonal stripe) and used it like paper. The twine is an addition from my stash. And this one was a sketch from Sketches with a Twist.
*******************************
So after I let those first three layouts digest for a few days...I just couldn't STOP using this line!!
I just loved using the patterned frames on this one!!
************************************
And some random pieces of the papers on this one (and another one of those darling frames) and I LOVED the corrugated paper that comes in the kit! I used another sketch from Wendy Antenucci on this one!
******************************************
I had fun with this one...the wood frames are from my stash, but I love how this one turned out!!
************************
And finally...I really thought this one sheet of paper was the most eye-catching piece and was really the ONE piece that sold me on the whole collection.
But then when I got the stuff in my hot-little-hands, I actually was intimidated to use this paper and do it justice and not cover up all the cuteness!!! (Anyone else ever feel that way?)
So, I chose one 5x7 and placed it just left of center. I added some brown cardstock, kept my journaling on a tag in one of the envelopes (lower left) behind the photo. I added some random stickers but decided this one didn't really need a "title". It just "is". I'm so thankful that I pulled this one off and this is actually my favorite layout from this collection so far.
I still have quite a bit of the line left, but I need to put it away for a while and work with something "warmer"...lol!!
But seriously, if you have winter photos, YOU NEED THIS LINE.
The collection pack comes with alphas (multiple sets - minis in different fonts and a larger set), stickers, border/tape stickers, 2 pieces of corrugated paper and 12 sheets of patterned paper!!
The teal and light blue with the maroon and grey....LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

Season of Stars with Joni!
Thursday, December 26, 2013
I'm back to share a few more layouts that I completed with the December Season of Stars Scrapbooking kit. I shared my first 4 layouts earlier this month...and I said I'd share my last 4 layouts and 2 cards ... but I lied... the other night, I was picking through what was left and I had just enough paper .... and with the extra embellies, I actually got two more layouts done. So that was 10 layouts and 2 cards.
Plus I used some of my extra embellies and alphas on the Silver & Gold Challenge layout... This kit just keeps on giving and giving!!!
So, here are the other projects:
I love this sheet of paper!!! So perfect to use "whole".... I folded back the top left corner since I really like the back side too!!

I love that it already had the large word "Joy" on the paper but I wanted to dress that up a bit, so I added the words Holiday and Joy from the transparency die cut from the add-on.
I also wanted to mention that I used the journal card from the kit (see below, it almost looks blue)...I placed it so that it highlighted words from the background paper. I also put one of the wooden banners UNDER it and clipped one of the gold star clips on it.
On this layout, I went clean and linear. I nice little block with some papers and strategically placed embellishments.
I used mist on this flower from the add-on, but I didn't "spritz" the mist, I removed the cap, and used the wand to literally "paint on" the ink. I layered this with some of the trim, chipboard and rhinestones.
I split 2 sheets up for this one and placed my photos along the center, separated by my journal box (from the add-on).
The clear transparency that frames my photo is in the main kit and is not really a frame - I just cut out the center so it didn't cover my photo and turned it into a frame.
I really wanted to use the musical notes paper and that's pretty easy for me considering I have a drummer, keyboard player, ukulele player, iPod/shower singer .... all in one son!!
I painted the gold glittery thickers with red paint to match my layout.
I also made two easy-peasy cards.
The left on is literally the transparency tree die cut from the add-on...glued onto the card!!
The right card is chipboard words from the add-on, painted and a little added glitter, grounded by a little strip of the washi tape (from the main kit).
Ok..so here is one of the "extra" (Ninth) layout that I did with my kit. I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap and used up some of my extra journal spots with my last tag and a couple pieces of chipboard. (The green background cardstock is from my stash).
I used the Thickers from the kit, but added some silver glitter over the top but you can still see the Gold too. I liked that contrast.
And this is my 10th layout with this kit (I used a sketch by Tammi Bennett)
All I had left of the paper was the red w/white snowflake piece, and I used a kraft tag from the kit and the snowflakes are from the add-on. (Alphas & Cardstock from my stash)
So...thanks for reading this far .. I hope you're still here!!
I had such a great time playing with this kit... I know you will too!!
