Show Me Sunday - by Heather Adams

Sunday, April 29, 2012

I'm going to show you how to make a very simple but cute card!

Supplies:
Card
Pencil
Adhesive
Ink
Sentiment Stamp
Rhinestones
Punched Butterflies (I used a Martha Stewarts punch from Michael's)
Other Not Shown: Sewing Machine
 1. Sew along the edges of the card.

2. Lightly sketch a "wave" across the card.

3. Glue butterflies inside the wave. (Glue just the middle of the butterflies for a more dimensional look)

4. Erase the "wave."

5. Adhere rhinestones and stamp sentiment.

You're done!

Fabulous Friday Challenge - Rolled Paper!

Friday, April 27, 2012

Good morning and welcome to our newest Fabulous Friday Challenge! Before I tell you about the challenge, I wanted to let you know that Frosted Designs is hosting our Second Annual National Scrapbook Weekend Crop May 4th - 6th! We are going to have challenges both on Facebook and here on the blog! If you are not already part of our Facebook group, now would be a great time to join! There will be prizes for each of the challenges along with games, conversations and a bunch of fun! All paper crafters are welcome to join the challenges... card makers, scrapbookers, off the page artists, etc.! And the best news... It is all free!! Mark your calendars now so you don't miss out on any of the fun! And feel free to grab this button to share on your own blogs! The more we have playing along, the more fun we will have! We look forward to seeing you!!

As scrapbookers, card makers and paper crafters in general, we often look for creative ways to add dimesion to our projects. Well, this week is sure to inspire you to have a lot of dimension! We would like to see you use rolled paper on your cards, layouts, ATCs, altered art and mixed media projects! As you can see, this challenge can be interpreted in many different ways! It is really easy to do and the final products are amazing!! Look at what our Design Team created to inspire you....

Lori rolled paper into mini flowers.

Brenda distressed and rolled the edges of the kraft cardstock and also made some rolled paper embellishment in the top LH corner and under the title.

Liva used toilet paper rolls to make this darling marker holder!
