Supplies Needed:
About a fourth cup of household bleach
Ceramic plate
Paper towels
Stamp of your choice
Dark piece of paper
Heat embossing tool (optional)
1. Fold your paper towel into a small pillow and place on plate
2. Pour enough bleach on the paper towel to thoroughly saturate
3. Use the paper towel as your stamp pad and apply to your stamp
4. Stamp on your paper
5. Heat with heating tool to dry (or let dry completely)
6. WASH YOUR STAMP IMMEDIATELY!!! You don't want the bleach to harm your stamp. If you wash them right away they will be perfectly fine!
It is so fun to watch your design appear as the bleach dries and does it's magic.

I'd like to share a very simple and fun technique, stamping with bleach. Yes. ordinary, household bleach! The results are stunning and vary depending on the paper you use. So experiment with different card stock and find the ones you like best. Keep in mind that DARK colors work best and to use a "chunky" more solid stamp for more dramatic results. But by all means, try any kind, of stamp and experiment and have FUN!

I love doing this technique. I would like to add for more interest after the bleach has done it's trick and the paper is completely dry, colour in the bleached areas with either coloured pencils or chalk and use more than one colour. This is quite beautiful on dark backgrounds.
I enjoy this blog, always looking for new techniques.
